The day I discovered Litsea Cubeba, I immediately fell in love with it.   More than the oil’s beautiful, intense, citrusy scent, it was its versatility that impressed me.  You can tell how much I appreciate Litsea Cubeba’s fragrance and therapeutic properties by the fact that I have used it as a main ingredient in many of my best-selling blends, including Alegria Essential Oil Blend and Energia Essential Oil.
If you have been trying to use certain essential oils that you know are beneficial for your health but don’t quite like their scent, just combine them with a few drops of Litsea Cubeba – you will find that this wonderful oil can make any blend a pleasant-smelling one!

Mar 16 2010 Eucalyptus is one of the more widely recognized essential oils. Perhaps it is best known as a decongestant inhalation for colds and respiratory congestion but is also useful in many more ways. Thirteen different species were introduced in Ecuador in 1865, and have been used for their multiple medicinal properties since then. Eucalyptus grows well and abundantly in Ecuador because of the unique climate. Eucalyptus is cooling, refreshing and energizing. Traditional folk medicine has used its cooling effect to ease feverish conditions. Breathe in Eucalyptus deeply and feel your chest open, your posture become more erect and experience the ease of seeing things from a different perspective. “My grandfather used to have a huge property where he planted hundreds of Eucalyptus trees. We used to run through the woods and liked to  hold the eucalyptus leaves in our hands and breathe deeply. We always cut big branches of Eucalyptus and put them under our beds to protect us from catching a cold. This was specifically useful during the cold weather. (Yes, Ecuador has cold weather in the mountains).  If we were sick, my mom would put the Eucalyptus leaves directly on our chests and backs and covered with a warm sweater before going to sleep, the next day we always felt a lot better. At Aromandina, we import the Eucalyptus essential oil that is produced in small batches from communities in Ecuador, the scent, the purity always brings me back to my childhood and now I can help many people with Eucalyptus healing properties.” Benefits: Eucalyptus is an immune stimulant which assists people who are tired, run down and/or prone to frequent colds.  Aromatherapy for Immune System. Aromatherapy for Colds and Flu. It’s time to do your essential oil gargles. Gargling with essential oils is very effective for sore throats, respiratory problems and loss of voice. Just follow these steps:

1) In an empty glass mix ½ teaspoon salt with 6 drops of one of these essential oils: * Tea Tree * Niaouli * Lavender * RESPIRO Immune Support (has all the above mentioned essential oils and more)

2) Add the juice of one lemon or lime and ½ cup warm water.

3) Stir well, gargle and spit it out. Gargle twice daily.

If you do this method on time, there’s a high possibility you won’t get sick.
