Coffee and Turmeric Scrub for beauty treatment in spa.

No matter how old you are or what kind of shape you’re in, you’ve probably battled cellulite at some point.  Everyone has!  Personally, I got tired of being ashamed to wear a bathing suit or short shorts, so I decided to challenge myself to reduce the appearance of cellulite in six months.  I started in January, and once June came along, I was wearing short shorts and feeling great about myself!

The world of essential oils is indeed very fascinating; the more you learn about them, the more you will want to make up your own concoctions. To help you with day-to-day applications of essential oils, I have compiled a list of common ailments along with recommended oils for each and their method of use.  This guide will also help you decide which essential oils are best suited for you.

ACNE

Tea Tree, Geranium and Lavender Add 3 drops of each to 1 oz of Jojoba Oil .  Put some of the oil on your fingertips and apply on the face with press and release over face and neck.

ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION

Alegria Blend, Citrus Delight Blend, Rose Absolute  Put 3 drops of the either blend on a tissue, place it under the nose and inhale directly.  This method is recommended for an instant effect. Mix 10 drops of one of these blends with 1/4 cup unscented salts, to a bath and soak for 15 minutes.

Jun 18 2012 Think that aromatherapy is just something that can make bath time more relaxing? Think again! Aromatherapy is capable of so much more than that. In fact, it’s the reason I have a son today! Back in 1996, my husband and I were trying to get pregnant.  When we ran into some problems, we went to a bunch of different doctors.  None of their suggestions worked, and I wound up totally exhausted. Part of what made the process so grueling was the fact that we didn’t know why this was happening.  There are lots of medical issues that can keep people from having children, but in our case, there was no medical explanation.  None of our doctors could tell us what the problem was.  They didn’t even have any educated guesses. It was just a bunch of shoulder-shrugging. As luck would have it, I was doing some reading about the benefits of essential oils.  At first, my reading was strictly business, since I was introducing essential oils to the Ecuadorian market, and I wanted to know everything about them. But what I read quickly turned personal.  In fact, it changed my entire life! Among their other benefits, essential oils can act as a “tune up” for your entire body.  Here’s how:

They help you relax

When you’re going through an infertility problem, relaxation is non-existent.  Unfortunately, that can make it even harder to get pregnant!  Luckily, essential oils helped me live in the moment and experience more peace.

They balance your hormones and reproductive system

Amazingly, they work for both men and women.  Since my husband and I had gone through years of fertility treatments, we clearly needed some help in this department!

They stimulate different “drainage areas”

Your skin, kidneys, and lungs are all responsible for getting toxins out of your body.  But if these “drainage areas” aren’t working the way they should, it can lead to a toxin build-up.  Luckily, essential oils can make these “drains” work harder. Just one month later, Juan Martin was conceived! I wanted to share my success with other couples, so I decided to offer the oil blends I used as part of the Aromadina line.  Here’s what worked for me:
  1. Cristina’s blend: fennel, clary sage, geranium, lavender, grapefruit.  This actually is a blend that I currently sell in my Aromandina line as Woman’s Help Body Oil
  2. Martin’s bend: the same, plus 4 each of Basil and Spruce essential oil
So far, more than 20 couples have seen success with these oils. I don’t consider myself a fertility specialist, though. Instead, I believe that aromatherapy is a great way to bring your body back into balance. And once you’re balanced, amazing things can happen!    © 2012, Cristina Proano-Carrion, Aromandina LLC

The Holidays are just around the corner. It is a time for family togetherness, joy, contemplation, letting go of the old and embracing the new. Although, spending time with family and friends, eating good food, drinking and giving gifts can be a wonderful experience, it is out of the normal routine and requires time, money and preparation. All of that is on top of the regular work, kids, school and extra-curricular activities that make up our day.
With all this stress staying healthy can also be a challenge. For some of us family may be far away, or we don’t have much family, or there has been a long standing schism with a family member. The Holiday Season tends to heighten all of those family issues we haven’t dealt with.  No doubt it can be a time of great joy and great stress.

Here are 4 Reasons to Use Aromatherapy this Holiday Season:

  1. To STAY HEALTHY
  2. To KEEP A JOYFUL THE HEART
  3. To RELIEVE ANXIETY AND HOLIDAY STRESS
  4. To OVERCOME THE HOLIDAY BLUES

WHAT ESSENTIAL OILS SHOULD I USE?

 For your health:

Ravensara and Eucalyptus essential oils:  Keep a bottle with you at all times. Just open, smell it and feel your sinuses open.

 For family gatherings:

Clary Sage and Geranium Essential Oils:  Release endorphins, the happy hormones, and make your family gatherings joyous and FUN. When your guests walk in the door they might not know why, but they will feel welcome, relaxed and joyous.

For whenever you feel anxious:

SERENO BODY MIST: Keep it with you and spray on your face whenever you feel the need. Palo Santo, Lavender and Mandarin will bring back a sense of calm and peace. Spray it on your pillow at night for a deep restoring sleep.

For the holiday blues

Here are some specific essential oils that will alleviate these Holiday Blues, the emotional challenges that often come with the Holiday Season.

ROSE – heals the heart of deep wounds, the flower of Love and compassion.

JASMINE – makes you feel beautiful, comfortable with who you are, it melts away anxieties and relaxes you.

BERGAMOT – like Rose, Bergamot helps to heal the heart, it also cleanses the mind when it is congested with thoughts that don’t allow you to grow.

PALO SANTO – helps reconnect with your higher sense of being while at the same time helps you think with a sharp, rational and analytic mind.
