As fall comes around the corner, it brings with it a number of changes both to the environment and our bodies. As the weather starts cooling down, our immune system defenses begin to deteriorate and we become more vulnerable to inconveniences such as colds and constant coughs. Luckily, we have the tools needed to naturally prepare our bodies for the changes in the season and to maintain our health at a comfortable level until spring comes around.
There’s a reason pumpkin-spice is so popular in the fall. It’s natural to want to warm up this time of year. As Mother Nature starts to cool things off, that glass of iced tea doesn’t seem so appealing. Instead, a warm cup of tea or a spicy glass of warm cider feels heavenly.
And, luckily, you can warm up your energy just like you warm up your beverages! Essential oils extracted from spices are warming for the body and the heart: cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger.
Head to your local grocery store or flip on the TV, and you’ll see a definite shift. Autumn is in the air, and retailers want you to be well aware of it! That’s why you’re seeing endless commercials and endless in-store displays of pumpkin-spiced everything, apple cider, and warm teas.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, several essential oils create a special warming energy. In addition to a spicy scent, they’ll actually give your lungs a boost — which will help you breathe easier, help you feel more alert and awake, help you develop a more positive attitude, and help enhance your immune system.
Best of all, you can use them in a variety of ways. Combine a few of them to use in your aromatherapy burner or diffuser to give your entire home a warm energy boost.
Or, create your own Autumn massage oil by mixing 45 drops of your favorite essential oil with 4 ounces of Therapeutic Carrier Oil.
Want to take the spa-like treatment a step further? Add a few drops of your favorite oil to a warm bath that will soothe your senses and your stress level. (Just avoid Cinnamon, Fennel, Ginger, and Marjoram, because they can irritate your skin!)
If you want to blend a few scents together, consider adding Orange or Mandarin to the mix. These uplifting scents have a more neutral energy, so they won’t overpower the warmth you’re getting from your Autumn oils.
Or, if you want to leave the blending to someone else, get a bottle of Aromandina’s Autumn Blend. Carefully blended with spicy warming oils like Cardamom and Ginger, this blend will warm up your entire environment, protect you from the colds and infections that always seem to be lurking this time of year, and allow you to fully enjoy everything that Autumn has to offer!
No matter what time of year it is, you’ll find the perfect assortment of quality essential oils at Aromandina!
